Today we took delivery of a 10 man Bell Tent. Bell Tents can be kitted out to a pretty great looking spec and we plan to use this tent on some of our amazing weekend adventure events that many of you have attended before. We know a big part of what makes our events special is the people that come on them. We have made some great friends ourselves – friendships that will last a lifetime. Many of you have also made new friends on our events. The social side of our game is strong – people who have met on our events have gone on to have group holidays together, stay in each others houses (or boats), attend functions and parties, and have also had their own adventures outside of what we do. We keep the numbers on our events quite small so that the social side of them remains a real asset. The suggestion of Bell Tent Weekends was raised quite some time ago when we ran a camping weekend in the Lake District and some of the participants had to go and buy a tent as they did not already have one. Knowing how sociable and friendly our events are we thought that if we had our own super Bell Tent then people could make use of it. We have visions of late night ghost stories, roasting marshmallows on the fire, tales of great adventures and great achievements all under the same glamourous canvas of our tent. We have opted for the 10 man Robens Klondike Grande and we will kit it out with some cool accessories to make it a real home from home. Look out for our Bell Tent events that we will be adding soon – but first I need to try it out myself!
